All kittens/cats will be sold with a legally binding contract signed by the breeder and new owner. Our first priority is the health and happiness of our cats and kittens, and our policies are designed to reflect that priority.

Pet kittens are those which, while still beautiful, may have slight faults that we don't feel should be passed on, or may just not be "show stoppers." These kittens are no less special, in fact we prefer to place kittens in pampered pet homes. Pet kittens may be shown as household pets. Showing is fun and a great way to meet cat enthusiasts and learn more about the breed.
Breeder/Show $1500 - $2500+ depending on quality
Breeder/show kittens are those that we feel will show well and produce beautiful, breeder/show quality kittens. However, we cannot guarantee show wins. These kittens are available as breeders to approved catteries only. If you are interested in a breeder/show kitten, but are not planning on breeding, please let us know as we will most likely let these kits go as pets or show alters, with spay/neuter included in their purchase price.
Show Alter/High Quality Pet $1000-$1200

These are kittens that would be proud to sell as show/breeder kittens, but we will reduce their price for pet or show alter homes.
Retired Breeders $300 approx.
These are beautiful show/breeder cats that we have retired from breeding and/or showing so they may enjoy the rest of their lives as pampered pets. These cats are available only occasionally, since we have such a small program. They are always spayed/neutered before going to their new homes. These cats will be around 2-5 years in age. We prefer not to ship these cats. Purchasing a retired breeder is a great way to get a beautiful Bengal at a very low price. If we do not currently have any retirees available, or if you are not located in our area, we can help you locate one that is.

Deposits:
Deposits are required to place a hold on a kitten and prices on kittens may fluctuate as they grow. We have had several incidences of people asking us to hold a kitten for weeks, during which time we turn down other families, and later back out, which is why deposits are nonrefundable.
A $200 deposit on pet kittens or $500 deposit on show/breeder kittens will reserve your kitten and lock in the price. All other payments are due in cash upon change of ownership, or due by check 2 weeks in advance.
Deposits are nonrefundable, unless we deny the sale of the kitten. We reserve the right to deny the sale of any kitten at any time.
Health:
Kittens/cats will be vet checked before being sent to their new homes and will have been vaccinated. Kittens are guaranteed against congenital defects for two years. We recommend that kittens/cats be quarantined for 14 days upon arrival in their new home and MUST be vet checked by their new owner within 72 hours. Sakura is a FIV/FeLV free cattery. We vaccinate using a three-way vaccination for feline upper respiratory infections, and vaccinate for rabies at 12 weeks, and yearly as required by law here in Alabama. We do not vaccinate for FIP, due to evidence that this vaccination is ineffective. We maintain a FIV/FeLV free cattery by regularly testing our cats for these diseases and by keeping them from being exposed to other cats. We guarantee our kittens against HCM for a period of two years and also post results of screenings of our adult cats. Copies of screening reports are available upon request.
Spay/Neuter:
All Sakura Bengal kittens will be spayed/neutered before leaving us, unless placed in show/breeder homes.
Declawing/Outdoor Cats:
No kitten purchased from Sakura may be declawed. No kitten is to be allowed outdoors unless in a secure harness or secure outdoor enclosure.
Rehoming:
Kittens/cats may not be given away, resold, or in any other way rehomed. If the purchaser is at any time, for any reason unable to keep any kitten/cat purchased from Sakura, we must be notified and the kitten/cat must be returned to us. We may, under certain circumstances, approve a transfer of ownership (to another pet home) in writing. We take very seriously the responsibility of bringing kittens into the world and we will always honor that responsibility.
Shipping:
We prefer to place kittens/cats locally, however shipping may be available. Shipping costs will be applied, which are usually around $300, including shipping crate and health certificate. We may be able to deliver kittens to certain distances or meet the new owner at a cat show. Delivery fees may apply, depending on distance, and must be paid up front. We may not be able to ship during late spring or summer since we are located in the South and temperatures are often too high for air shipping. During such times, it would be necessary for you to fly to us to pick up your kitten, so he/she can ride in the cabin with you.
